Standards Under Public Review

This draft of HRI Standard 1320-202x (SI/I-P), Performance Rating of Commercial Refrigerated Display Merchandisers and Storage Cabinets for use With Secondary Refrigerants is open for public review May 7 through June 8 2026.

The purpose of this public review is to solicit technical comments from stakeholders on this revision. This is a project to update and consolidate an existing standard, AHRI 1320 (IP), Performance Rating of Commercial Refrigerated Display Merchandisers and Storage Cabinets for Use with Secondary Refrigerants.

Project Scope of revision:

·         Align AHRI 1320 with the changes made to AHRI 1200 – 2023

o    TDA figures and equations were updated for alignment with DOE TP and Standard.

o    Definitions updated to include Ice cream applications and edits to existing definitions.

o    Added lighting options and updates to ASHRAE 72.

o    Definition section updated to include lighting, and sensors to align with DOE TP requirements.

o    Added various product types.

o    Consideration of non-standard operating temperatures.

·         Any item not listed above.
