Standards Under Public Review

This draft of BSR/AHRI Standard 1400-202x (I-P), Performance Rating of Indirect Water Heaters is open for limited scope public review 1/31/2025 through 3/17/2025.

·         What is in scope of this limited public review

o   Formatting error corrected in section C3.3.2.3.

o   Updated section C.4.3 to clarify the steady state condition by specifying the temperature with a tolerance of 140°F ± 5°F. Clarifying information for mean tank temperature is also included in section C.4.3.3.

o   Section C.4.6 typo corrected to show P_iht instead of P_int.

o   Added to Table 2 Nomenclature is T_a,avg  which is the average ambient air (room) temperature. T_a,avg  included in equations 3 and 4 shown in Sections C.5.2.1.1 and C.5.2.1.2, respectively.

o   Table 7 typo corrected for 2” pipe at 18 gpm.

·         Attachments

o   Both a clean version of the standard and a redline version of the standard showing the items for limited public review are included for context.
