Standards Under Public Review

This draft of AHRI Standard 551/591-202x (SI), Performance Rating of Water-chilling and Heat Pump Water-Heating Packages Using the Vapor Compression Cycle is open for public review March 6 through April 20, 2026.

The purpose of this public review is to solicit technical comments from stakeholders on this limited scope revision of Appendix G, Indian Rating Conditions - Informative, and technical corrections to Appendix F, Examples - Informative.

In scope:

·         Revise Appendix G, Indian Rating Conditions – Informative

o    Revise to align with Indian Standard IS 16590:2023, Liquid Chilling Package Units - Specifications.

·         Table G1 “IS 16590:2023, Liquid Chilling Package Units - Specifications.”

·         Table G3 “IS 16590:2023, Liquid Chilling Package Units - Specifications.”

·         Correct technical errors in Appendix F, Examples – Informative

o    F2.4 Tolerance Limits
